Irwin Street Impeccable Townhomes
What is the name of that cool street that stretches for about a mile towards Inman Park and touches the entrance of the Beltline? Well that's Irwin Street of course. I don't know how many times I have heard this from people who are unfamiliar with downtown and the Beltline but I am always glad to give them the information. Irwin Street isn't very long and it changes to Lake Ave once you convert over to Inman Park just past Krog Street. Bit it does highlight a gorgeous row of town homes on either side of the street and a cute little market, Irwin Street Market" comprised of a variety of shops and eateries. My desire for a perfect home would definitely be one of these connected single family properties that are a step away from everything I want to be near. If you are in the mood for a decent stroll, Irwin Street will take you all the way to Little Five Points where all the action takes place. The 600 block of Irwin showcases adorable cookie cutter town homes on one side and the new construction of a modern phenom of town homes on the other side called The Water Tower Stacks. The great thing about both options is that they are very different and will cater to its specific buyer. The original Irwin street town homes, simply named Irwin Place are built craftsman style and have approximately 1700 square feet of living space mostly 3 bed 3 1/2 baths. The most recent sale was earlier this month for around mid $300's. I would say this was a deal for it's prime location for sure. The interiors of course are nicely upgraded and feature bedrooms on the upper and lower levels. The newest additions on the block are comprised of 10 units with 2 being completely detached and the other 8 attached. It is currently under construction with an expected completion date of Fall 2015. Water Tower's modern features come standard at a base price around the low $600's but you can add more upgrades at an additional price like an elevator, viking appliance package and bedrooms on one of the 4 floors. Yes i did say 4 floors. Both the family and young professional alike could enjoy either property depending on what their needs and desires are. Torn, between the two, I couldn't say which was my favorite because they both appeal to all of my wish list but you decide for yourself.
